| The story of AccessU2 Property By Phone™ began in 2003 when Kenneth O'Hanlon began development of the code and processed patents for the platform. This was a direct result of frustrations he experienced when trying to view residential properties in Florida. He was met with missing, or dirt-encrusted brochures, calls to Realtor offices that were closed, and waiting days for a Realtor to return his calls. He observed the global trends and a market need for another way to instantly deliver information. Along the way he quite literally pioneered the industry, working with cell phone aggregators as well as wireless providers in the U.S. and Canada. |
| After seeing the need for a Real Estate marketing tool, AccessU2 Global Property Info™ was the first company to exhibit at the National Association of Realtors (NAR) in its product category in 2004. The first year, while in concept development mode, there were no competitors, but neither were there any carriers yet able to operate with short code to receive text or pictures. At the 2007 NAR, four competitors that had been in the market in 2006 had exited, while eight new competitors were in evidence. |
| The Company conducted extensive market research between 2004 and 2006, utilizing both real estate professional and consumer focus groups as well as beta testing. Approximately 30 Realtors were involved and 250 signs were out in the marketplace. During the 1000 beta tests on the system, consumers were given the option of either initiating the request with a text message or by dialing a toll free number and entering the info when prompted (the IVR). 940 used and preferred the toll free number and IVR versus 60 who used the text message capability. The value proposition then as now, for real estate professionals who are members of the Property By Phone™ system are:
- being connected to buyers who have not chosen a Realtor yet
- increased listings as home sellers demand this type of lead capture and tracking system and will choose Realtors who are members versus those that are not.
- increased sales based on real estate professionals receiving more qualified leads faster
- significant cost savings to real estate professionals since the platform eliminates the need for printed brochures and keeping their boxed full
- a real green impact on the environment proving that each individual CAN have an impact
The results of the beta test provided the clear confirmation on the patent pending process that was filed by Kenneth O'Hanlon in 2005 and published in 2007. |
